Summary
In the last years of the TWENTIETH century, began to establish the policies of modernisation to the public transport, due to the rapid development to be had in the Great Metropolitan Area. As of today, we have implemented only a small part of these policies, with the result that the public transport suffers currently from elements very aggressive in order to provide a good service, such as road congestion, caused by the massive increase in the vehicle fleet private, a downgrade in the operating system, which produces a superposition of service routes in common corridors and lack of an adequate infrastructure. This leads to increases in travel time and a perception too negative of an industry so important to the city, as is the public transport. Given the necessity of the implementation of the guidelines stipulated in the Decree No. 28337-MOPT, the dealers in the Sector East of San José, which comprises the districts of Montes de Oca, Curridabat and The Union, together with the aim to enforce the decree. They form the Integrated Transport System of This SITE). This work is based on the proposal of the most important component of the master plan of the SITE, which is the site of the group's business and the design of the main terminal of the sector, which is an intermodal and is located in Alto de Ochomogo.
