Summary

In the cantón Vázquez de Coronado, the population density has been increasing rapidly, the spaces have been privatized gradually, and the chances of having public areas, fellowship and recreation are limited solely to the use of the Park Coronado. This problem will be intensified with the project of residential towers for middle and high-class than the INYU intends to build in the center of San Isidro of Crowned, specifically in Estate Vargas. This ends any possibility of having an open space to enjoy community in the canton, so it is evident the need of a counteroffer to listen to and value the inadequacies of the real population. For this reason, it is defined by three axes major action: democracy, citizen participation and public space; these axes will be linked in order to generate a counter-proposal to the project of the INYU, generating a space inclusive and democratic, which integrates the urban dynamics and maximize the social activities, recreational and community that are currently being conducted in the lack of adequate spaces. In this proposal is addressed to a methodology of participatory design, in order that the community is heard and taken into account in a process that should be protagónicamente including, communicating his emotions, thoughts, and wishes for the generation of this space of all and for all in search of a Crowned healthier and just-for their inhabitants.
