Summary

The present growth of urban landscape in the GAM and its environmental impact, is a priority issue within the planning of the cities present and future. The ways that have worked in the green areas and water bodies, have been disordered, without clear legislation and a low interest priority in mind economic, which have shaped a landscape of denial, fragmentation, and abandonment with such a precious national resource, as it is our biodiversity and as necessary as it is in the water. The practice is located in the District of The Guido in the Canton of Desamparados. District that is part of the Special Area of Protection of the ring of containment urban, and which maintains its urban area, as many landscapes of the GAM, contained by green areas of different types. In this scenario raises conceptual prototypes built between the urban fabric and the different units of natural scenery, such as areas of opportunity for urban renewal-natural. It establishes the need to project appropriation mechanisms of socio-spatial order to the improvement of the quality of communal life, the diversification of the environmental resource, and the integration into its urban context. This work seeks to generate prototypes for the urban integration-environmental, starting from the need to understand the role played by the boundary conditions between the natural environment, the built environment, and their social dynamics. For this reason, from a study approach of Permaculture, which is classified as a synthesis of disciplines, all guided to conform to the physical design, environmental, social and multi-dimensional that requires you to have a lifestyle deeply integrated with the environment.

Summary

This graduation project is a research and design proposal made in the city of Alajuela. Seeks to assess the quality of the spaces dedicated to the activities of a cultural nature, artistic, and educational, with the objective of presenting a design proposal to resolve the problems encountered with and contribute to the city's efforts to improve urban conditions in the center of the city. Its importance lies in the research and application of guidelines that focus on the design of experiences from a hybridization program, which facilitates the inclusion of different social groups for the variety of activities offered, and the design focused on meeting spaces. These enhance the learning relationship in an informal setting, the attraction of users to these spaces, the integration of the project to the dynamics of the environment in which it is registered and greater projection of the activities of cultural expression.

Summary

The present work graduation, he understands the new architectural design of the building of the Municipality of Pococí, in order to accommodate all the elements that make up such an institution, its employees and users. This includes firstly an analysis of the area and its historical relationship with the old building before its demolition, observation and analysis of its immediate context, and the site of the project. In addition to a compilation and synthesis of concepts and visions for the design and construction of such an institution, and urban activities complementary to bring more people to your local government. In a second part shows the architectural proposal, its conceptualization, spatial configuration and volumetry, raised with high sensitivity of the spaces, the requirements and needs of its employees and users. Finally, it presents the findings and conclusions obtained from the development of the design proposal and the impact and functioning of the same.
